Craig and Heidi married a few weeks before at Lake Bled in Slovenia. After returning from their honeymoon it was time once again for Heidi to don that dress and let the family join in with thier wedding celebrations. We were only too happy to oblige. Congratulations to Craig and Heidi, we had a wonderful family time at your wedding reception. Shortly after the day, we were really please to hear that the patter of tiny feet would be joining the Watkinson Clan.

The family had a very special day on Jan 29th 2010 when our cousin Carl married Carol, who has been a friend of Jan and I for many years. In fact Jan and I had watched her grow up from a young girl as she was Sara’s best friend. Also special on the day for Jeff was being able to take the wedding pictures, although I was a little panicked when the bride was so late the sun was going down, however we did get some good family shots at the church and reception. Married on the 4th July 2009, at The Church of Christ the Cornerstone in Central Milton Keynes. We had a wonderful day with family and friends to celebrate Paul and Clementine’s marriage. Apart from the marriage service, Clementine looking stunning in her wedding dress, great weather and a terrific venue for the reception, Paul’s speech was so funny, everyone thought it was better than a comedy club turn. So well done to Paul for his great speech.

Jan and I were very proud and will always remember many really good things from the day’s events. However, if you want a quiet life, don’t ask Sara about the speeches….

During this year, I am developing my photography skills, partially though a birthday pressy from my family, and partly though a free Digital SLR course which is being run by a Monthly Photography Magazine. It is certainly a bit of fun to think how you are going to apply the project and what images you want to take. I get the information from the classes and then off I go, camera in hand, ready to snap my latest masterpiece. It doesn’t take long to find the original concept doesn’t quite give you the results you were looking for, so it’s “back to the drawing...
On our recent visit to Spain we ventured into the mountains behind Benidorm. Dot and Colin joined us for the day and we set out for the day driving past Alicante and onto Benidorm. We then passed the Terra Mitica adventure park moving inland and climbing upwards through the village of Polop to our first stop at Font D’Algar.
We enjoyed a few hours strolling through the village and falls, and of course enjoying a refreshing drink at one of the local restaurants. Pictures are in the Font D’Algar page.
Our journey took us upwards deeper into the mountains.

During our break in Spain in June 2008, we had a great night with all our friends and neighbours. Dot and Colin opened up their garden for a great barbeque. The party went on till late into the evening where we all dived off to our homes and left someone else to clean up the empties! The evening was brilliant.
